Message from Ms. Shirley
Sick Children - An Important Reminder It is very important that parents keep children home from school when they are unwell. This type of parental decision is a critical one for the wellness of the entire class & school population. I would like to remind parents of the 24 hour rule - this means that children may return to school when they have been symptom free for 24 hours. We thank you for your cooperation! (Ms. Shirley)
Remembrance Day Ceremony
Our ceremony begins at 10:30. Students who do not have a poppy will be provided with one before the ceremony, a donation is not required but would be appreciated. Thank you :)

Student will be coming home with their math quizzes today. Please review, sign, and return to school. Please look at the new tab I have created for Evaluation, Assessment, and Mastery, this may help you to understand the guidelines we must use as teachers. Please note that B- to B+ means your child is at grade level. I have added under the GRIL tab a list of Fantasy books that may interest your child. Scholastic book orders for November have gone out. They are due back next Thursday November 6th, 2014. You can view these orders online under the Scholastic tab.

It was great to meet so many of you! It is always a great experience meeting parents for the first time. From time to time I will share Moment Makers with you. I would like you to see what makes me do what I do!
Moment Makers: This week while doing a whole group lesson, one young lady asked me why I gave them a great sentence, instead of one with lots mistakes. I told her that we were going to look at all the good things that were done in the sentence. She exclaimed, " What a great idea! " Teaching makes my day :0)
